Unfortunately it refused to work. After some digging around on internet I found the following post (http://www.archivesat.com/FreeBSD_hardware/thread435791.htm). Fortunately I do have a FreeNAS system running so I took ataidle from that system and it worked. So can you make a new binary build for freebsd somewhere in the future?
