OS9 can be USB booted on an MDD, for instance... The path will be something terrible and long...do you see a disk device under the usb chip in the OF tree? If it's an iBook, it should be setup to mirror automatically...there were ancient hacks to enable spanning mode in OF on these...reviewing the forth involved may be enlightening for OF display management :) Matt
