This committed patch is a hack, by adding -fpermissive to the command-line

The patch I submitted in  in 42785 is a proper fix which does not
require -fpermissive, and works on -CURRENT and -STABLE with both
old and new compilers.

Can you please commit my patch and revert this -fpermissive hack?
