Two things: *) When downloading the floppy image, be certain to use "binary" mode. *) Don't use DOS COPY or whatever windoze uses to put the image on disk. Instead download (also "binary") the fdimage.exe program in the tools directory. Before installing read the installation part of the handbook, available at www.freebsd.org.
