In what way ? I didn't notice any difference.

Didn't try this with CAM, which I should get to this afternoon, but with
2.2.6, after a few minutes of continous reading from the cd, the same
thing happens with messages like :

bt0: not taking commands !
bt0: operation timed out 

followed by a panic that I was looking the wrong way during. 

On an aic controller, there is just a panic under the same
circumstances.

Does this suggest a hardware problem with the drive ?
