For me (526 ports installed, KDE4 and a long time
EXPLICIT_PACKAGE_DEPENDS user), I only had to portmaster libvpx and
ffmpeg.
# cat /var/db/pkg/libvpx-1.0.0/+REQUIRED_BY
ffmpeg-0.7.11_3,1

pkg_libchk reports nothing else needing libvpx...
