It looks as though you need a higher value for CHILD_MAX than 
the default.  Add a line like

options		CHILD_MAX=128

to your kernel config file and recompile (see the Handbook if
you need more details on this).

It's probably worth bumping up OPEN_MAX and maxusers as well.
