 I'd have to disagree - as someone who uses /bin/mail exclusively
for reading mail.  And, I get a *lot* of mail a day, several hundred
messages on a slow day...

 Nothing works better for me than good ol'  /bin/mail.

 (Of course, I take it you mean /usr/bin/mail on FreeBSD - there isn't
a /bin/mail.)
