There's no way that you'll get support for these controllers in 2.2.8.
The Promise Fasttrak-66 and Promise Ultra-66 are supported in
5-CURRENT, and I suspect they're also supported in 4-STABLE, but you
can be pretty sure that older systems won't support them.
