A TA is a rather moronic piece of hardware and shouldn't have anything to do
with the higher levels of data communication. But there is a number of them
(like the German ELSA TAs) which insist on doing some kind of async <-> sync
conversion (as they call it). ComOS doesnm't like this at all. If that's not
the reason you should take another look into the PPP FAQ.

How are they doing their authentication if not by CHAP? PAP?
Calling-station-id? (It's generally a good idea to let ComOS decide and
permit it to use any authentication mechanism it knows about.) Another
thought: Are you sure you're using the required layer 2 and 3 protocols?
ComOS is able to handle anything it gets - if nobody deactivated the
features.

Ask your ISP's tech support to take a look at the debugging output of their
Porthamster - they should be able to help you.
