I am used to working in a windows environment and I was just wondering if my applications that I have on Windows 95 would still be able to work on X Windows which I am told I would get with FreeBSD. Applications that I am talking about are WinZip, Cheyenne BitWare, FTP, word processing, E-mail, etc. Would I be able to install these programs as usual as I would in Windows ? Please get back to me as I am interested to know these things and possibly even install FreeBSD on my PC. PS : Do you know where I would be able to obtain my own copy of FreeBSD.
