Umm, FreeBSD isn't GPL; it's free software. GPL software *can't* go into the base distribution due to its unfree license . . . which is why you have to compile your own kernel to get ext2fs support, but nearly every other file system known to man is supported by default. hawk -- Prof. Richard E.
