I did and it sounds quite reasonable. On deinstalling I saw quite a 
lot of "...fails original MD5 checksum - not deleted.", what fortified 
my hope that the above would be the solution. But it didn't help it. 
After a "portupgrade -rf doxygen" I saw the same error.
