Apparently [fwd from a friend]...

Sun Microsystems is going to release the Solaris source code under the
same license as Java ... you can have the source code but you must provide
Sun with any bugfixes. Any binaries must pass a Sun compatability test and
you must pay Sun if you ship any commercial binaries.

This might accelerate development of usability on ultra 2, ultra 5,
tcx framebuffers, etc.
