Since then it wouldn't run up (I'm using Gnome 1.2 + Enlightenment 0.16.4), dumping core in my .gnome-desktop directory. The only significant change I can remember doing was to upgrade my linux emu from linux_base 5.2 to linux_base 6.1 (and also linux_devtools-6.1). Is it possible this has broken it? But it appears that SO 5.1a has linux_base 6.1 in its dependencies list so probably not. So I've uninstalled and tried to reinstall the port, but it will not install properly. make appears to work fine, but a make install fails :- [deletia] Good Luck *** Error code 1 (ignored) chmod: /usr/local/Office51/lib/libofa517li.so: Not a directory *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. While having a close look at the Makefile for the port, I discovered that during installation the directories /usr/local/Office51/{bin,lib} were in fact files! Also, the setup "script" is in fact a binary, so I am confused as to the purpose of the patch files in the files subdir of the SO 5.1 port. Frankly, I'm confused! Has anyone any ideas? Cheers, Adam.
