I tried the adventure of customize my kernel ... but I wasn't able to finish
the operation...
Here are my steps...
cd /usr/src/sys/i386/conf
cp GENERIC GMARCO
uemacs GMARCO
deleting a lot of lines ... mantaining only ahc0 ahc1 (but which one is my
AHA2940?) fdc0 and the floppy A, scd0 (SCSI cdrom Sony), lpt0, sio0 and
sio1, sc0 plus others such Math coprocessor ...
save & exit
/usr/sbin/config GMARCO
cd ../../compile/GMARCO
make depend
make
at this point on random file *.c it writes :
Date Hour Name /kernel : pid773 : cc1 : uid0 :exited on signal 11
cc internal compiler error : program cc1 got fatal signal 11
*** Error code 1
Stop
If I execute make again it continues but stops again later with the same
error...:-(
I have 32mb ram and a swap file of 75mb.... I have installed the full
binaries & kernel source only...

If I try to mount my primary partition FAT on second scsi drive sd1s1 it
writes :
Mountmsdofs() : root directory is not a multiple of the clustersize in lenght
The HD is mounted and seems to work, but what's happened ... ?
(it is a 2gb HD scsi by quantum....)
