Perhaps you could add something like ulimit -c 512 to xinitrc to see if there is a segfault or something. I don't use xfce, but maybe there is a switch which can enable more logging? The xorg.conf puzzels me, it specifies nvidia as driver? Why? But I'm out of ideas. Everything seems to start ok, and then something goes wrong. Best regards Andreas
