Sadly, this did not fix it. I seem to have misstated the problem I am currently seeing. Back in February when I upgraded from Xorg 7.3 to 7.4 I was having problems _both_ with exiting X and switching from X to a VT. Earlier today I stated that I was still seeing both problems. This is not true. On double checking before trying your latest patch I found that the switching between X and VTs, and back again, now works. I do not know when that started working. The problem I am still having, even after applying this one line patch to a clean 7-STABLE, is that on exiting X the video mode is corrupted - not restored correctly? Do you still want me to try the patch you sent me earlier? Thanks again. Cheers, Nick. --
