fbsd 3.0 release is screwing with me.... rather i think its the ipfw that is scewing with me. i removed the ipfw options from the kernel then recompile, and ipfw is still active. i belive its interferring with my samba and my vnc install that was working fine unt= il now. my win 95 boxes can either see and not connect to the fbsd box in 'network-neighborhood' OR as is the case on the other win 95 box cannot see OR connect to = the fbsd box. in either of the above cases, the win 95 boxes cannot find= the fbsd box via network neighborhood or the find utility from the win 95 start button. futher more... vnc-viewer (on the win 95 box) can can no longer connect to the vncserver on fbsd. i am able to use fbsd as a gateway for the win 95 boxes and ping the gateway as well as outside sites from win 95, but, i can not use my vnc or samba as described above. nor can i remove ipfw from the box. ____________________________________________________________________ Get free e-mail and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=3D= 1 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
