    You might try tracking the References header. IF your MUA sets it,
    and IF the MUA used by the person who replied honors it. But it'd be
    such a kludge that I think you'll save yourself lots of work if you
    just bite the bullet and move the occasional replies the appropriate
    list mailbox.
