We are presently in the middle of switching the handbook format from LinuxDoc to DocBook. Once this is done, PDF generation is most likely going to be automated, and new PDF versions will be available daily. The switch is intended to be complete within 2 weeks (possibly one week now - I remember it being two weeks when the switch start was announced :-) Eivind.
