Im trying to install 4.0-RELEASE from a CD I created from a ISO image downloaded from ftp.freebsd.org. When Im done with the installation and have formated the disk and the installatin program is about to begin copying the files to disk then I get some kind of a trap saying. PANIC: ffs_clusteralloc: map mismatch I then tryied to install 3.4-Relase also from a CD created from an ISO image downloaded from ftp.freebsd.org and everything works with that version. But I really want to run FBSD 4.0 on this box so I moved the disk to another mashine and did the installation there and everything when ok. When I moved the disk over to the box I want to run it on and booted it I got the following error message. ad0: UDMA ICRC WRITE ERROR blk# 309311 retrying ad0: UDMA ICRC WRITE ERROR blk# 309311 retrying ad0: UDMA ICRC WRITE ERROR blk# 309311 retrying ad0: UDMA ICRC WRITE ERROR blk# 309311ata0-master: WARNING: WAIT_READY active=AT A_ACTIVE_ATA falling back to PIO mode Does this error message mean that there is somekind of a UDMA problem on this box, or could i be something simple as a bad Cable ?. Can anyone give me a clue whats wrong ?. Im including all of the boot messages from this box. Most gratefull for any hints or suggestions. Regards Patrik Astrom, Stockholm Sweden.
