I'm interested in taking part in GSOC 2016 with FreeBSD. I noticed one project that drew my attention: "Port TrueCrypt as a geom_gate userland disk device implementation" and I wanted to introduce myself. A few words about myself: My name is Tomasz Flendrich and I'm a third year Computer Science student at University of Wroc=C5=82aw, Poland. In the previous semester, I had a seminar class named "Implementing Operating Systems". It was based on FreeBSD, so I have a firm grasp of what's happening inside. One of my two presentations was about devices. Also, there was one presentation about GEOM/CAM/GELI. And I was paying attention :). My bachelor thesis is gonna be about an experimental operating system I'm implementing on a MIPS Malta (together with a fellow student and our adviser). We don't have multithreading yet, but we're getting closer. I took part in GSOC last year in NTP project (also written in C) and completed it successfully. I'd really love to be a part of the FreeBSD team as a GSOC student, but unfortunately after messaging the current mentor of this project idea, I heard that he cannot be a mentor this year. He gave me a few pointers, but I need someone for the long haul. Is anyone willing to take up the mantle? I'd be really grateful and I'm sure that it would be productive three months. Kind regards, Tomasz Flendrich
