When I was looking around the SMC pages, it appeared to me that the SMC8434 was the 10baseT only variant, and there was a 10/100 variant (SMC9332 maybe?). Point being: don't go out and buy an 8434 unless you verify the feature set. ;-) Just a handy tip. Related: Are there any good dual port DEC21x4x based cards currently supported by FreeBSD? Either 10baseT only or 10/100....? ... JG
