Several attempts each one stopping at the same point shown below. I do have mozilla-1.7.b,2 itself compiled & installed. Right now I'm unable to get to the Epiphany website to see if this is a known bug (our state govmt network sux). I set all the mozilla-devel knobs such that the features will be enabled (e.g. setting WITH_FOO=yes and *not* setting WITHOUT_FOO ;) . Also have the optimizing CFlags knob turned on. Here's the failing snip: [...] In file included from EphyEventListener.cpp:29: nsUnicharUtils.h:45: error: conflicting types for `struct nsASingleFragmentString' /usr/X11R6/include/mozilla-devel/string/nsStringFwd.h:75: error: previous declaration as `typedef class nsSubstring nsASingleFragmentString' gmake[3]: *** [EphyEventListener.lo] Error 1 gmake[3]: Leaving directory `/src/ports/www/epiphany/work/epiphany-1.0.8/embed/mozilla' gmake[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 gmake[2]: Leaving directory `/src/ports/www/epiphany/work/epiphany-1.0.8/embed' gmake[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/src/ports/www/epiphany/work/epiphany-1.0.8' gmake: *** [all] Error 2 *** Error code 2 Stop in /src/ports/www/epiphany. ** Command failed [exit code 1]: /usr/bin/script -qa /tmp/portupgrade13118.132 make ** Fix the problem and try again. ---> Build of www/epiphany ended at: Wed, 24 Mar 2004 23:17:37 -0600 (consumed 00:12:45) [...] ---> Skipping 'x11/gnome2' (gnome2-2.4.2) because 'www/epiphany' (epiphany-1.0.7_3) failed [...] I've left the work subdir intact (renaming it) if something is of interest there. For the time being, I'll disable WITH_MOZILLA to let it default. Epiphany did get upgraded (compiled and installed okay) with 'plain' mozilla+headers (not tested yet tho). Eventually I will need to test the smb:// support with our Wynderz[tm]2K systems. BTW and FWIW I've read several OSX users having bad experiences with mozilla-1.7b; they've gone back to 1.7a until the beta bugs are ironed out. Let me know if I can do anything to help, please. -- Paul Seniura Systems Specialist State of Okla. D.O.T.
