https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D266989 Bug ID: 266989 Summary: security/py-cryptography : does not find rust bindings Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: sunpoet@FreeBSD.org Reporter: freebsd@rail.eu.org Assignee: sunpoet@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(sunpoet@FreeBSD.org) Since upgrade of port (built by poudriere) my duplicity fails with error BackendException: Could not initialize backend: cannot import name 'asn1' f= rom 'cryptography.hazmat.bindings._rust' (unknown location)=20 In the poudriere log I see : /usr/local/lib/python3.9/site-packages/setuptools/command/build_py.py:153: SetuptoolsDeprecationWarning: Installing 'cryptography.hazmat.bindings._rust' as data is deprecated, please list it = in `packages`. !! ############################ # Package would be ignored # ############################ Python recognizes 'cryptography.hazmat.bindings._rust' as an importable package, but it is not listed in the `packages` configuration of setuptools. 'cryptography.hazmat.bindings._rust' has been automatically added to the distribution only because it may contain data files, but this behavior is likely to change in future versions of setuptools (and therefore is considered deprecate= d). Please make sure that 'cryptography.hazmat.bindings._rust' is included = as a package by using the `packages` configuration field or the proper discovery methods (for example by using `find_namespace_packages(...)`/`find_namespace:` instead of `find_packages(...)`/`find:`). You can read more about "package discovery" and "data files" on setupto= ols documentation page. !! which seems linked to this problem --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
