I have taken out the 4meg 70ns SIMM and just left in the 32meg 60ns SIMM. 
We'll see if it still locks up. The chips were most likely from different
companies.

Both the chip and the caseing have unclogged fans and are well ventilated, also
the chip has a heat-sink.
