Trouble is it seems (from what I've read) that what may work for someone may not work for someone else. It APPEARS to be dependant on a lot of different factors (including stuff like if the CD is the master on the IDE bus or the slave, and possibly what the other device (if any) on the chain is), so compiling a list may prove, err, challenging. That isn't to say that it shouldn't be attempted, but just a warning that even if it says ``THIS DRIVE WORKS'' on the list, it means it worked for SOMEONE, maybe not for you though. Until someone tidies up the IDE driver and the ATAPI CD driver, that will unfortunately remain the case. If someone wants to try, the mail list archives will likely prove a good starting place.
