https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D267000 Bug ID: 267000 Summary: www/firefox declines to start if no GPU present. Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: gecko@FreeBSD.org Reporter: dgilbert@eicat.ca Assignee: gecko@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(gecko@FreeBSD.org) www/firefox and www/firefox-esr both "decline" to start if no GPU is presen= t.=20 This is a significant regression in firefox w.r.t. (say) jails, vms, and any other situation where you might have multiple virtual VNC windows without a= ny GPU present. ... now I could have this wrong --- is there a library that need be install= ed that isn't installed by default by installing Xvnc and firefox? (then it ne= eds be a port requirement). ... but in the alternative, can we force firefox to work (and just break on= ly when webgl ... or whathaveyou is engaged)? to reproduce: - create a jail on 13.1 - install firefox-esr and tightvnc - start vncserver - (probably start a window manager, etc.) - try to start firefox(-esr) --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
