Well, I've got a nice 5.7 or so Gig hard drive, and it's divided cleanly
into 3 partitions...
First is my Boot Drive, Second is my Stuff drive, and the third, that would
be my E: if I ever decided to load a file system on it. I have FreeBSD
Installation Software sitting right now on top of my computer case. The
operating system itself would be installed if I could figure out why the
Third Partition, or "slice" as the installation program puts it, weighs in
at only 17 Megabytes, while it should be about 1828 Mbytes. In Dos and
Windows, all three partitions register as being the same size, but with or
without a file system, FreeBSD seems to think my E: is 17 megs.

Could someone please explain this slice thing to me, because if they aren't
basically a DOS partition, then I'm confused. And is there any type of
Format command native to FreeBSD? It's probably there, I just haven't looked
for it yet.
