I was wondering what opinions there are regarding the type of NICs to using in a multihomed machine. Will be using fbsd 4.9-rel. Is it a good idea to use NIC's from different manufacturers? Same manufacture? Non-3com? ... As far as performance issues are concerned, is one brand better than another? This will not be doing any bridge/routing... I will be using the secondard NIC as a private rfc1918 network. The bsd box will be a proxy machine. -- David Bear phone: 480-965-8257 fax: 480-965-9189 College of Public Programs/ASU Wilson Hall 232 Tempe, AZ 85287-0803 "Beware the IP portfolio, everyone will be suspect of trespassing"
