https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D244397 Bug ID: 244397 Summary: x11-wm/xfce4 Mouse and Touchpad settings with UDEV xorg-server Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: xfce@FreeBSD.org Reporter: marko.cupac@mimar.rs Assignee: xfce@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(xfce@FreeBSD.org) Hi, since upgrade to xorg-server to 1.20.7,1 on my 12.1-RELEASE-p2 x64, it seems that XFCE's Mouse and Touchpad settings don't affect my Synpatics touchpad behaviour (no xf86-input-synaptics installed). I noticed it because my poin= ter quit accelerating after upgrade, and it wouldn't accelerate no matter what I set in Mouse and Touchpad settings. I found out that, in order to be able to set touchpad properties, I need to= set `sysctl kern.evdev.rcpt_ask=3D6' (as mentioned in xorg-server's pkg-message= ), and manipulate device properties with xinput, as instructed here: https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/mouse-aceleration-with-xorg-udev.74159/ It would be nice to get the ability to set most important mouse properties = from Mouse and Touchpad settings back.
