It really depends on how it reports itself.  If it acts like a CD it
should work okay.  I haven't heard from anyone with an IDE one.  I have an
external SCSI one here with me awaitng a proper adapter to connect to my
NCR.

Good question.

If it can see it, it should work as any other drive.
