I believe what john says NT is being used now for alot more tasks at oracle, but as he stated that has nothing to do with the NC. Now thats from john. I don't know who you talked to, but I don't think john is misinformed since he is a developer. Id bet whoever you talked to is misinformed about FreeBSD being out of the picture. I could be wrong but I think john's post made it clear FreeBSD is sticking around.
