We have FreeBSD 2.2.5 installed (Ber. 4.4) on Intel Pentium. The problem started when we replaced the 3Com 509 NIC with 3Com905 B. When I try to configure by 'ifconfig', it doesn't show ' vx0' that stands for 3Com905 NIC. I tried to edit ' /usr/src/sys/i386/config ' or /usr/src/compile/MYKERNEL/config ' .. where I find line correspondent to this NIC as ' --- device vx0 ' Do you have any idea, How can the system recognize the new NIC card ?? tia, Sanjeev To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
