In my defense I'd like to point out that it took some time for that code to settle out: --- 9.4.0a1 released --- 1910. [bug] dig's +sigchase code overhauled. [RT #14933] 1720. [bug] 'dig +chase' did not terminate on a RFC 2308 Type 1 negative response. [RT #12506] 1683. [bug] dig +sigchase could leak memory. [RT #11445] 1668. [bug] DIG_SIGCHASE was making bin/dig/host dump core. But it still would have been nice to get this option in there after 9.4.1 was released. My only other explanation is the typical ENOTIME.
