It looks like something in the xl driver code, from what I saw in /var/log/messages (I've included a portion of this file below). As the system begins to slow down, netstat -gin starts showing me Ierr errors on xl0 and lo0. # uname -a FreeBSD topperwein.dyndns.org 4.1.1-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.1.1-RELEASE #0: Fri Sep 29 11:02:55 EDT 2000 behanna@topperwein.dyndns.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/TOPPERWEIN i386 The system is a PII-350 running on an Abit BX-6 (rev. 1) motherboard, 256MB RAM, WD 8.4 GB and 45GB drives.
