Hi, I have a problem with the sound device and skype. I have a HP compaq nx9005, that works fine (I think) with the snd_t4dwave driver (I can hear music with xmms, and so on). Mundaka# cat /dev/sndstat FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm) Installed devices: pcm0: <Acer Labs M5451> at io 0x8400 irq 5 (4p/1r/0v channels duplex default) I have installed skype from /usr/ports/net/skype. The software makes the phone call and chat works fine, but I cannot listen what the other person says and he doesn't hear what I say. I can also hear my voice in the output of my computer, and in the second call, I receive the next message: [joseba@Mundaka /usr/home/joseba]$ skype_bin read error, res = 0 , handle = 30 /dev/dsp-1: Device or resource busy I have been reading the small documentation that skype has on his website and I see that it works with the oss mixer using the /dev/dsp. I have tried to modify the values of the /dev/dsp0.0 to 0.4 with the xfce4-mixer, and impossible. All of them are down and I cannot wake up them, they fall down. Using the mixer command I see that all of them are in the same situation, the same as mixer0. Any help, please? --------------------------------- LLama Gratis a cualquier PC del Mundo.
