Let me guess -- mirror.pl 2.8 ...  ;-)

That's why I started to write my own mirror program (in C),
and now I'm desperately looking for beta testers.  If you're
interested, the latest version is available from this URL:
http://fromme.com/omi/

The software is still declared "alpha", but it is running
stable for some time on our own server (ftp7.de.freebsd.org),
and a friend of mine is using it to build the complete (!)
FreeBSD mirror at ftp.ru.freebsd.org.  The only major feature
still missing is exclude lists with regular expressions, but
I'm working on that right now.
