hello!

i was wondering if you could help me?

i am trying to install the latest version (4.0.2) of mod_php4 and it =
will not install on my FreeBSD4.1 system.

my system is a pretty clean install, using an SMP kernel on dual PIII =
processors, with the following packages installed:

apache-1.3.12 The extremely popular Apache http server. Very =
fast, very c
freetype-1.3.1 A free and portable TrueType font rendering =
engine
gd-1.8.3 A graphics library for fast PNG creation
    gettext-0.10.35 GNU gettext package
gmake-3.79.1 GNU version of 'make' utility
    jpeg-6b IJG's jpeg compression utilities
    libmcrypt-2.2.4 Multi-cipher cryptographic library (used in =
PHP3)
libtool-1.3.4 Generic shared library support script
    mysql-client-3.22.32 Multithreaded SQL database (client)
    mysql-server-3.22.32 Multithreaded SQL database (server)
png-1.0.7 Library for manipulating PNG images
png-1.0.8 Library for manipulating PNG images
samba-2.0.7 A free SMB and CIFS client and server for UNIX

when i do a 'make build' on the port i downloaded from freshports.org it =
brings up the menu of php options, i select the following:

    gd
    freetype
    zlib
    mcrypt
    mysql
    ftp

i then press ok, it tells me all dependencies are ok and works away =
through its checking and compiling. then suddenly it drops me to the =
command line with no error message (and no php4 installed!). the last =
compile/link command it ran was this:

/bin/sh =

please help!
