Hi... Had an older Maxtor(IDE) drive laying around and decided to shove it into my box. More swap space, space to put /usr/src...can never have enough, eh? Did a disklabel on it, created the partitions I want, not a problem. Went to 'bad144' it to create a bad-sector table, and get the following output. If it indicates that my drive is hosed, fine...it wasn't *that* important, and I never paid for it, so I'm not losing any money by not using it. But, if not hosed, how can I salvage it? Thanks... bad144: /dev/rwd1c: bad flag in bad-sector table bad144: bad sector file contains duplicates (sn 0) <above repeated many times> bad144: cyl/trk/sect out of range in existing entry: sn=64, cn=0, tn=0, sn=64 bad144: bad sector file is out of order bad144: bad sector file contains duplicates (sn 0) <above repeated many times> bad144: cyl/trk/sect out of range in existing entry: sn=64, cn=0, tn=0, sn=64 bad144: bad sector file contains duplicates (sn 0) bad144: bad sector file contains duplicates (sn 0) bad144: cyl/trk/sect out of range in existing entry: sn=96, cn=0, tn=0, sn=96 bad144: bad sector file contains duplicates (sn 0) <above repeated many times> bad144: cyl/trk/sect out of range in existing entry: sn=64, cn=0, tn=0, sn=64 bad144: bad sector file contains duplicates (sn 0) <above repeated many times> bad144: cyl/trk/sect out of range in existing entry: sn=64, cn=0, tn=0, sn=64 bad144: bad sector file contains duplicates (sn 0) <above repeated many times> bad144: cyl/trk/sect out of range in existing entry: sn=64, cn=0, tn=0, sn=64 bad144: bad sector file contains duplicates (sn 0) <above repeated many times> bad144: bad sector file contains duplicates (sn 64) bad144: bad sector file contains duplicates (sn 0) <above repeated many times> bad144: cyl/trk/sect out of range in existing entry: sn=64, cn=0, tn=0, sn=64 bad144: bad sector file contains duplicates (sn 0) <above repeated many times> bad block information at sector 675449 in /dev/rwd1c: cartridge serial number: 0(10) bt_flag=0(16)? sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 <above repeated many times> sn=64, cn=0, tn=0, sn=64 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 <above repeated many times> sn=64, cn=0, tn=0, sn=64 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=96, cn=0, tn=0, sn=96 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 <above repeated many times> sn=64, cn=0, tn=0, sn=64 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 <above repeated many times> sn=64, cn=0, tn=0, sn=64 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=64, cn=64, tn=0, sn=0 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 <above repeated many times> sn=64, cn=0, tn=0, sn=64 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 <above repeated many times> sn=64, cn=64, tn=0, sn=0 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=64, cn=64, tn=0, sn=0 sn=64, cn=64, tn=0, sn=0 sn=96, cn=96, tn=0, sn=0 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=64, cn=0, tn=0, sn=64 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0 sn=64, cn=64, tn=0, sn=0 sn=0, cn=0, tn=0, sn=0
