I have setup a freebsd gateway machine routing for a small network. Everything seems to work fine, it's only task is really to route and keep the ppp link up ( modem ) at all times. The problem arises when I try and do some maintenance work on one of the NT servers connected on the LAN via remotely possible. The ppp link appears to die, however, the modem remains connected. Thus, all Internet connectivity at this point dies. This only appears to happen when I am using Remotely Possible over the Internet. I cannot think why ? Can anybody suggest a reason.
