Hi, I use the /etc/issue file to replace the standard greeting 'FreeBSD/i386 lalal..' with a standard infringment notice we use on our UNIX machines at work. I did a check out from the local CVS tree and rebuilt the system to the following: FreeBSD sanctuary.magill.unisa.edu.au 4.4-RC FreeBSD 4.4-RC #3: Fri Aug 24 21:39:29 CST 2001 sayersjm@sanctuary.magill.unisa.edu.au:/usr/src/sys/compile/SANCTUARY i386 ..and I cant get the /etc/issue file to come back up. Any ideas? Jarrod Sayers Information Technologist School of Communication, Information and New Media University of South Australia, Magill Campus.
