You know...just being a newbie to unix, it seems to me that if the = problem with removing the npx0 device happens this frequently, something = should be done to fix that. The installation handbook mentions nothing = about this being a mandatory device, neither do the GENERIC kernel = notes, and when the error comes up during the make, it doesn't give any = clue. It's no wonder the question comes up, none of the documentation tells = you that the kernel recompile will not work without it. Chad
