We have a couple of ORINOCO bridges [1], joining 2 ethernet segments,
installed with line-of-sight of about 10-20 meters, that have 11Mbps
nominal throughput, but actually we never could get more than 4/5 Mbps
(sustained TCP throughput measured with ttcp).  This could be a serious
problem with some applications.

Also, some times, the link goes down (I would say once every couple
of months), and we have to reboot both bridges.
