I am running FreeBSD 2.1.0R and get the following error when starting an
xterm:

xterm: Error 23, errno 25:  Inappropriate ioctl for device

Note that the X server starts fine, it's just xterm and all the client apps
that fail.  My entire system worked fine when it was 2.0.5R, using the same
version of XF86.  I have tried reinstalling X, but that didn't change anything
either.
