I alr
eady have both versions of gettext installed (see below) but the problem
persists. Any ideas?

oliver@zeus:/usr/ports/archivers/rpm# pkg_info | grep gettext
gettext-0.10.35_2   GNU gettext package
gettext-0.11.1_1    GNU gettext package
