The machine was upgraded to 6.1 and since then the panics disappeared. It seem to be fixed with the 6.1-RELEASE, it was rock stable e.g. no kernel panics or crashes for weeks. In the mean time we had issues with the hardware (we suspect it is the 3ware-controller) rendering the system useless. I cannot test this issue with 6.2-RC1 or 6-stable. We try to rebuild the system but it can take some time. The machine was our local FTP-mirror (including FreeBSD) at mirror.math.uni-bielefeld.de and had network loads of constantly 1-5 MBit with peaks to 70 MBit. -- Viele Gruesse, Konstantin Saurbier ------------------------------------------------------ Konstantin Saurbier Tel.: 0521 106 3861 Computerlabor Mathematik U5-138 Universitaet Bielefeld Universitaetsstr.25 33501 Bielefeld email: saurbier@math.uni-bielefeld.de ------------------------------------------------------ --Apple-Mail-24--212283330 content-type: application/pgp-signature; x-mac-type=70674453; name=PGP.sig content-description: Signierter Teil der Nachricht content-disposition: inline; filename=PGP.sig content-transfer-encoding: 7bit -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (Darwin) iD8DBQFFkCDFWkvQTx5k+y4RAjCDAJ9QlFjbR9xqW3xQoGFQkZgRhr0S2ACeO5sd RvG+EfedRx+PLU+rEjKCP8M= =hPZv -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Apple-Mail-24--212283330--
