The dirpref code went into -STABLE on 21st September. Here's how you can find this out: % cd /usr/src/sys % grep -R dirpref * The file ufs/ffs/ffs_alloc.h contains references to dirpref, so you can query the CVS repository for this file to find out when dirpref went into -STABLE.
