You need to compile your kernel to recognize ATAPI CDROM drives. 2.1.6 wasn't too good at detecting these though. Your best chances are if you run the drive as the slave on your primary controller, behind your Connor drive. Stick these in your kernel config file: options ATAPI #Enable ATAPI support for IDE bus options ATAPI_STATIC #Don't do it as an LKM device wcd0 #IDE CD-ROM The Goldstars are _very_ picky drives.
